Who is jesus?

"I came that they might have life, and might have it abundantly". John 10v10

Jesus is the creator, he is the holy God who made us perfect like him, to enjoy life with him and each other in a perfect world. When we turned our backs on God we broke our relationship with him, spoiling everything. We could no longer co-exist with holiness so were destined to die. But because of his amazing love he came to earth to rescue us from our fate.

Born as a human baby, growing to be a carpenter, teacher, healer and miracle worker, God was revealed in Jesus. He was the innocent man who was sentenced to death for crimes he didn't commit. A sacrifice that our sin demanded to save us from ourselves and our own death. He is the Jesus who came alive again, walking out of his tomb and overcoming death!

Still alive now, he is the risen King, the perfect, powerful, loving Lord of the universe. He is the love that still reaches out to us today. He is our friend. He is awesome and holy but we can know him because his Holy Spirit is with us. He shows us who God really is-our loving Father.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. John 3v16-17
